Spring cleaning & changes are on the way again!

This summer is going to be very busy!  First, my hubby is getting ready to accept a new job on Thursday.  This is a permanent position with the State of Colorado in the IT department for DOC.  It pays pretty well and has a retirement plan...BUT the best part is that we will have benefits for our family!  We have been without continous health insurance for almost 3 years now and I just don't know how we made it.  Thank goodness we were able to get the kids on public healthcare and Waide/I got assistance when we needed it; especially when his appendix was getting ready to burst.

But now the work is going to REALLY begin!  I have started the task of cleaning and packing boxes for the impending move this summer.  We are going to move until after school gets out, but we have a TON of stuff that needs to be re-boxed and moved out to mom's house for storage.  I am kinda sad that we will be leaving the comfortable feeling of a small town, I am more excited to get back to what we know the best---the city!

Basically, what happens is that I pack almost all the stuff and Waide gets the moving crew together to get it out of here.  I am also going to start going through the kitchen stuff once again to see what I can put into the camping stuff.  I am REALLY glad that I am going to be getting my shot start this week because I am going to need every bit of strength I can get to prepare for this move.

Something I am looking forward to is getting my desk back from Waide.  So, I am thinking that I am going to buy him the same identical desk as mine for Father's Day.  Then we will figure out a chair for him later.  I also think that Chloe is going to be getting a computer for Christmas and the desk to go with it.

Anyway, Spring cleaning has started and I am going to have the kids go through the clothes that no longer fit and put in the donate box.  We are also going to be going through lots of books, craft stuff, and a million other things and get rid of it!

  1. Spring, with all its promises, is a great time for cleaning up and clearing out -- and that's in all senses of the word. Sounds like you and your family are ready for some truly positive changes in your lives. Congrats to Waide on the job, Stephanie. And congrats to YOU, too, as you prepare for bigger and better things. I hope your new meds will make you feel great and full of positive energy.
