I had my phone interview on Friday and I went through the WHOLE process and they wouldn't even process my claim because
1. My husband makes too much money for us to qualify for welfare.
2. I haven't put in enough into the Fica program to qualify.
So, after taking the weekend to calm down I am going to start to look for a good disability attorney to see what my options REALLY are in this fight. Yes, it is going to be a fight because the RA is going to get worse no matter what and I do have real health issues that need attention and I can't get it without assistance. Anyway, I am not giving up and I am NOT giving in!
Yesterday was our SCA event and it was a smashing success for our little household. I was a little worried on Friday because I did flare and my energy levels just hit the floor. It was a struggle to get through the donation luncheon yesterday, but my energy levels finally came back late in the afternoon. Today, my hands a little swollen but I am sure that once I get moving around the house and take my meds (I was too tired last night), everything will be just fine. Today is cleaning out the back of the truck, the coolers, and putting the kids' merchandise away for their next event.
I also found out that people like asparagus! I did this experiment as a salad of grilled asparagus and everyone loved it, so I will plan on doing it again at a future event WHEN it is in season and cheap. Overall, I am tired but I am feeling good. I am gathering my strength to take on the government and get on with life.
So, onward and upward this week!
